New & Noteworthy

The Daily Dish has a new look!  For those who wondered why the food/dining posts had a very serious look, it was because I was a squatter on a site launched focused on tech news.  As of this week, dining and cooking take over the site. It is a reno in progress but I hope you like it!

This week, I add Būmu, the Japanese way of saying BOOM. Joaquin Baca, an early Momofuku  Noodle hire, opens his first solo Manhattan restaurant in the former Neta space. Japanese-American-By-Way-Of-Texas cuisine find their way in dishes like the chef’s signature okonomiyaki with bacon and mayonnaise. What’s not to like?!

New & Noteworthy (week of Oct 14)

Būmu Opened early-October

Daymoves   Opened mid-September

Golden Diner  Dinner service early-September

Gotham    Reopened early-September

Hutong      Opened early-July

Jean-Georges   Revamped Tasting Menus early-September

The Jones Opened late-August

Llama-San Opened early-September

Nami Nori Opened early-October

This weekly list is not comprehensive of every new place but a short alphabetized list of new places that I think are notable.  Restaurants that have been opened for more than three months will not be included.
