Solutions around short-term voluntary disconnection: 1) facilitating disconnection through awareness, support, and practice, 2) reducing triggers to re-engage, and 3) allowing for partial disconnection. We feel it’s important for mobile operating systems and app developers to design responsibly with the users’ attention, and wellbeing in mind.

Paper: Unveiling and Quantifying Facebook Exploitation of Sensitive Personal Data for Advertising Purpos
The results of our study suggest that Facebook labels 73% EU users with potential sensitive interests. This corresponds to 40% of the overall EU population. We also estimate that a malicious third party could unveil the identity of Facebook users that have been assigned a potentially sensitive interest at a cost as low as €0.015 per user.

We propose Progressive Structure-conditional Generative Adversarial Networks (PSGAN), a new framework that can generate full-body and high-resolution character images based on structural information. Recent progress in generative adversarial networks with progressive training has made it possible to generate high-resolution images.
